Our 1 year Creative and Digital Media apprenticeship is designed to reflect the various creative and media skills that are required within the creative industries. It is aimed at young people who want to turn their skills and passion for Creative Digital Media into a professional career.
We are currently looking for two enthusiastic and passionate individuals, ideally with an understanding of camera work, editing, video compression and traditional animation techniques to work as “Technical assistants” in our organisation. You may not have extensive professional experience, but you will need to be an enthusiastic video maker, who has worked with digital video and possess some technical knowledge of filming and editing. You will have used video editing software before (ideally Final Cut Pro and I-Movie). You should also have an interest in animation, social media marketing and be prepared to learn. You will be giving information about courses for Adults in Production, Post-production and Animation, over phone and in person, so you will need excellent phone manners In the office you will support the admin and technical teams to carry out technical and administrative tasks.
The selected candidates will work 30 hours a week for one year while completing the Units required for their Apprenticeship.
Candidates will be provided with a high quality, industry recognised qualification in Creative and Digital Media Competence. As part of the Apprenticeship, you will be involved in video editing, camera work, creating professional menus for DVD’s as well as assisting animation workshops and courses. This Apprenticeship will provide you with the knowledge and experience required to apply for professional jobs, or to carry on further your education.

Who can apply?
You must be:
- Aged 16 to 18 years old
- NOT already have degree or currently studying to get one
- Motivated and a team worker
- *MUST have lived in the UK 3 years or be an EU/UK citizen.
- Ambitious, creative and reliable
- Must not be in FULL time education
- Be prepared to work (30 hours minimum) for a year
