Lego computing workshop

This workshop will provide a class with everything it needs to build working robots that carry out tasks written by the students using computer programming. The students will pile-of-lettersunderstand algorithms, how they are used in programmes, how to de-bug, use variables and various IN/OUT technologies.

The national curriculum states that students should: “design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems” (Sept 2016)

lego setsWe will provide 15 LEGO MindStorm EV3 sets and  laptops so the students can work in groups to create their programmes and robotic machines. The children will enjoy the challenge of making the machines work and using LEGO. We also provide support material to help prepare for the workshop and for subsequent follow up work. Teacher training can also be provided.
