Animagine DVD

Pre-school children see a lot of films and TV and play with many forms of digital media. By the time they start school, children are ready to watch a wider range of films and to have more challenging creative opportunities. The ANIMAGINE series provides the basis for imaginative teaching and fascinating new experiences for children that will make an important contribution to their attainment across the curriculum.

This compilation of 12 films plus a 62 page booklet is designed to help teachers extend the range of texts they use in the classroom and to develop their students literacy and media literacy. The films have been selected from the London International Animation Festival (LIAF) which The Film and Video Workshop has run since 2003.

Total running time 80 mins approx. This is a PAL DVD, designed to be played on PAL DVD players (zone 2).

Course News
We’ve recently shifted the focus of our work here at The Film & Video Workshop to our youth projects*, so we won't be running courses for adults after this Summer term. Our tutors will continue to run some of their courses here independently and soon you will be able to contact them directly to find out more about their plans (we’ll post links and contact details as soon as they become available).
*The Film & Video Workshop will very much be continuing as an educational charity and our resources and facilities will continue to be put to good use. We want to thank each and every one of you who has attended our courses in the past and say how grateful we are to you for taking the time to give us such positive and encouraging feedback.
