AniMake-it (round 4)

We are looking for 8 young people aged 10 to 16 years old, passionate about animation, to participate in an exciting Animation Bursary Scheme. The aim is to support talented teenagers, wanting to pursue a career in animation. To do this we will be providing a free course led by a BAFTA award winning tutor that will help them to create their own animation.

Young people will be chosen based on their abilities, creativity and initial ideas for their animated films. Ability to commit to all the sessions is crucial.

Kevin Griffiths has many years of experience working with stop frame animation. He has directed three series of ‘The Old Bear’,the pilot for  ‘Bob the Builder’ and ‘El Nombre’. Kevin is an accomplished puppet maker and puppeteer and is an expert in building models using armatures and aluminium wire. He is also a skilled educator and has worked with adults and children in a wide variety of settings over the past 10 years (Kevin is CRB checked)

The young film makers will be working at our studio and we will provide the art materials and technical equipment needed for their films. The completed films will be sent to several young people festivals around the world.

This initiative is funded by the Film and Video Workshop to provide opportunities to talented young people. Animake-it is free of charge for the students.

-You are 10 to 16 years of age
-Have some previous experience of animation
