Momentum programme

14-19 NEET  and potential NEET, (not in employment, education or training)

We are offering three projects to support young people who are facing difficulties in their lives. These are targeted through schools or youth clubs. Our tutors will work with the students at your premises to produce a unique piece of video, animation or music. They will be using professional quality equipment and techniques. In addition to the media training the tutors will be providing advice and guidance, life skills and employment support. The projects are usually 8 session long and we would be working with a ratio of 1 tutor to 3 to 5 students. These projects are free as long as the LSC/ESF conditions are met. The options are;

  1. Multimedia work - non accredited project, each student receives a FVW certificate and copy of the work on DVD.

  2. Arts Award (bronze) - additional work will need to be done by the students to receive this qualification. The project will focus on helping develop the young people as multimedia artists and they will all produce their own work.

  3. Basic Skills Qualification - additional hours will be added to these projects and the basic skills training will be embedded in the media work.
